Copy Xbox 360 HDD to a second 360

I just picked up another 360 for use in the bedroom in addition to the 360 & One in other rooms. I know I can just transfer from one HDD to another but can I just copy my HDD content to a second HDD without piecemealing it? Everything I can find about the
data transfer cable only says transfer. Nothing about duplicating or mirroring.

yeah, connect a usb external hdd and copy the data to that from the 360 then either run it from that on the 2nd 360 or then copy it to its internal hdd

With the transfer cable you can only transfer. if you want to copy the contents just take a usb storage device

Hi. To do that on Xbox 360, go to your cloud saves and copy the game save to your HDD for Xbox 360. Remember, you have to play with your Xbox 360 HDD attached and with the game saves you have copied from your cloud to your HDD.

I can not copy the save file over to any other storage device no matter the console I use, when i try to do anything it just says that it's being used on another Xbox.

It actually does state in the description that an Xbox 360 HDD is needed, even in the copy and paste you posted.
