Copy downloaded games to a friends XBOX

Hello together,

is it possible to copy a downloaded game on an external drive and give it to a friend of mine?

He has a license for the game, and me to. It´s only to save bandwith. XBOX 360 has an option for that, but I cannot find it on XBOX One.

How do I transfer my digital licence of fifa14 game to another person?

Hi, not sure how I would go about giving my digital copy of fifa14 (already downloaded to my console) on xbox one to a friend of mine. I really can't get into this game and my friend is a soccer nut, so I would like to give the game to him. Does anybody
know how I could achieve this?

have to agree with bowski477.

if you can, try to download the game to your hard drive. you do this from the xbox dashboard. hover over the game, and hit the button for more info, i think it's Y. then select download to hard drive. if that doesn't fix it or your xbox won't read and download
your copy of the game, it might be able to copy a friends. if you can get the game downloaded, your disc should work.

[you still have to have the game in the disc tray in order to play even when it is downloaded to your hard drive]

If he already has a license for the game then it should be ok as you can install a game from a disc to save bandwidth on a digital version of the game.

However, if your friend does not have the license for the game then he will not be able to play it.

Or do I only need the downloaded files for the install-process?

Downloading the game again is the only way to play it on Xbox with your friend.

However, if your friend is close by you can bring a portable hard drive to his XBOX and copy it and save the long download times. You'll be playing in no time at all!

Exactly the same as the Xbox 360. You lend your game disc to your friend, they play it. Downloaded games can only be shared on the same console.

We don't know about price yet, but digital download and hard copy will probably be similar price to each other. You can download games or buy the disc from day 1. The answer to sharability is in point #1.
