    Copilot with other controllers/wheels

Can copilot be used with any other type of controller apart from the official wireless controller?

This would be great to have when using a wheel but it never picks up the wheel when trying to activate copilot. It only shows the one controller.

    Thanks

    :)

  3. Xbox One Speed Wheel?

yes I don't like racing with controllers at all. Copilot with other controllers/wheels :) I DONT HAVE BING BUCKS FOR A GOOD WHEEL, HECK IM STILL USING MICROSOFTS 360 WHEEL AND SPEED WHEEL. MY XBOX ONE WILL GET RUSTY IF THEY DON'T COME UP WITH SOMETHING. Other than making the xbox 360 unusable.

  4. Copilot with other controllers/wheels

    The
    Copilot support article
doesn't specifically mention that this feature only works for official Xbox controllers, so it
should work for almost anything (although YMMV with third-party controllers).

Does it help if you were to switch the second controller around? Let the copilot controller be the regular one, and the wheel controller the main one?

    Hi,

I've tried both ways, it doesn't register that any other controller is connected so you can't activate co pilot. Even when playing a game with the wheel and going back to home and trying to add co pilot. So the wheel is definitely registered with the Xbox
just won't appear in co pilot as a valid controller.

Hopefully they add this, would a great feature.

    Thanks

    Adaptive controller with Thrustmaster TMX!!!!!

i'm sorry, it is designed to emulate the general Xbox controller, and not specialized peripherals like wheels. it only works with a handful of joysticks they have been whitelisted and tested.

You should contact Thrustmaster and ask them to work with Microsoft to make their wheels function with the adaptive controller.

The other thing you can do is activate copilot, and assign the adaptive controller as the secondary controller

I cannot guarantee this will work because I don't have the ability to try it, but it's worth a shot

    Disabled despair

To play a racing game like Forza with the use of one arm, I recommend getting a racing wheel and turning force feedback off (or at least, turning it way down) in the game settings. Most racing wheels can be clamped or bolted to a table or desk. If you can use your feet also, a set of racing pedals attached to the wheel can work very well to control LT and RT. If the buttons on the steering wheel part of the wheel controller are not adequate for doing everything you would like to do, I further recommend getting a "fight stick" and turning on Copilot Mode in the XBox settings. A setup like this could probably be put together for about the same price as the XAC + accessories, and it would not require any fancy configuration efforts on your part.

    To summarize:

    • A "racing wheel" controller for XBox
      • With pedals, if you can use them
        • These control LT and RT
        • These might need to be firmly attached to something so they don't move underfoot
      • Bolt/clamp this wheel controller to a table or desk
        • They usually come with a clamp for this purpose or are heavy enough to just sit flat
    • A "fight stick" controller (optional)
      • Turn on "Copilot" in the XBox controller settings so these two controllers can be used together
      • This will probably be heavy enough to sit mostly still when sitting on a flat surface like the table/desk the wheel is fixed to

Xbox Adaptive Controller and microsoft wireless controller

    Hi there,

I don't know if it is possible to connect the controller to the Xbox Adaptive controller, maybe someone else can answer that question.

But I do know an alternate option to do that, which is via Copilot option on the console itself, where a second controller can be used to for help the person on the other controller, with steering or button presses etc.

See this link on how to set it up:
    https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/accessories/copilot

I assume it will also work with the Adaptive controller.
