which shows all of the different eligible consoles to trade in for $100. Even the old white 360's with the 20 GB HD are eligible.

I may as well be forthcoming at this point...

Back in January I heard about the trade-in program. I *had* an original 360 (no HDMI - the component version). Plugged in the specs on the site and they offered a $100 credit. I sent it in and simultaneously bought the Peggle 2 360 which was $160 at the
time with a $30 gift card. When I got that, it was a HUGE improvement over the original 360. The HDMI was noticeably better and it didn't sound like the Spruce Goose was taking off in my living room. It was also a little snappier switching menus. Lastly,
my kids (yes, I'm old) love playing Kinect on the 360 and I noticed there is only one or two games for them on One. That is what prompted me to ask the original question even though I had essentially a $130 credit to put towards a One.

I ordered one the other day with Titanfall and it was $220. Seems like an obvious choice at this point, but a couple days ago it wasn't. Actually, the first post is the one that convinced me. When the new Halo comes out, I'm going to want to play it.
Funny, since that is why I bought an Xbox way back in 2002.

@wild you wouldn't know. You don't own one. X1 is 4k capable already exept that it currently only supports 4k/30fps not 60fps. Now considering that this is only going to be a problem for TV or movie applications which if judging by all the noise over the
last year about gamers not caring for TV and app funtionality this shouldn't even warrant a mention, especially from you who only last week was complaining about MS concentrating on "apps".

Currently there are no 4k games for X1 and likely not to be for a while if ever. So for someone like you to be waiting for a 4k enabled version which was actually just a click bait rumour article, to see what you perceive as Next Gen is rediculous. But not
surprised.

@ Rippen Well Ridiculous is what you will look when both Sony and MS release slimmer bigger hd's and 4K versions in the future.

Maybe I should copy everything you say on here Rippen for future reference ?

4K is the Future PC users know that but obviously you don't.

The PS4 and Xbox One are both already capable of 4K output, but the articles you've seen in the media are related to a comment from someone at Netflix. Both Netflix and Amazon require HDCP 2.2 support in order to stream 4K content. Neither the PS4 nor Xbox
One support that and can't support it without hardware changes. Both consoles support 4K output at 30FPS over HDMI though.

So, this issue relates solely to that. It's got nothing to do with gaming. It's possible that a future revision of the One and/or PS4 will have HDMI 2.0 ports and HDCP 2.2 support, but it's equally possible that Netflix and Amazon will allow 4K streaming
to devices that only have HDCP 1.4 support, given how popular streaming services are on games consoles. We'll just have to wait and see.

I don't regret my purchase as I've had a lot of fun with it and I've made more friends on the One than I did in the lifetime of owning the 360 (dunno why that is), but I am a little disappointed that some of the issues that were present at day 1 haven't
been ironed out 15 months later. Don't get me wrong, the console is vastly improved since it was first released, but certain core elements of it still feel a little flakey.

I use Windows 8.1 on my home PC and as the Apple fans say, "it just works". Sometimes I don't reboot or restart my PC for weeks and the performance doesn't degrade. It's rock solid. The Xbox One isn't like that as you will inevitably run into an issue that's
fixed by rebooting it. In fact "do a full reboot" is the first advice that I - and others - give to people on here when they have issues.

On the positive side, it's the only console that actually feels "next gen" to me, even if it's not as powerful as its main competitor, but part of that is based on having a Kinect. As an "entertainment centre" it is easily the best next-gen console you can
buy, but the experience is a little sullied by the OS and core features not being as polished as I'd like. For instance, the other day a friend invited me to a party. I joined, but I couldn't hear him and he couldn't hear me, even though we could both see
the icons flashing to indicate that we were speaking. We both rebooted our consoles and it worked fine. I never had to do that once with the 360 and I'm not saying that it happens all the time with the One, but it shouldn't be happening at all.

I'm going to join Black Wolf in the congrat's as well Burrito..I didn't think i would be amazed stepping up to the One from the 360 but every night i am in awe in some way or other..believe that. While the One is still not quite 100% the experiences feel

I would rather the guy come ask here than head to You Tube or elsewhere to ask because you know how that's going to work out. At least here the OP can for the most part get honest feedback from actual gamers who have actually upgraded from 360 to One and
their impressions of it.

I can't help but agree with Vaynel here..if i was the op wanting to hear about peoples experiences from 360 to the One but instead read the "make up your own mind" and "why should i convince you" post than i probably wouldn't have come back either. I was
the op before Christmas reading all of your One experiences which made me jump to the One a lot faster but kind of glad i didn't jump on here to ask your opinions on should i get it.

I read his thread topic perfectly and the first thing that popped in my head was is the One worth jumping to from the 360 and why..which is a simple yes followed by some of your favorite things about it. At the end of the day your not going to make someone
rush out and spend $400 BUT you can peak someones interest with things you like ultimately helping someone feel better about spending $400.

I apologize guys not a bash post as i respect all of you regulars who are here everyday keeping it real and fighting the good fight but i see a new person wanting advice i want to bring them in and not push them away.

the OP should make up their own mind, their question is a loaded one and i can offer my own opinion, but that is just from my own experiences with the X1 and the OP wasn't even able to give any reference on what they want from a gaming system, what are the
things they love about the 360, what are the things they hate, what games do they play/want to play, what are they looking for in terms of an online experience.

with more details i bet they would receive more honest/informed opinions, so trying to answer the OP's question directly will just lead to a flame war.

edit: and let's not forget that the OP has been MIA since they posted.

Sure the OP could have phrased the question better but he has come to the official forum for the Xbox brand to ask for advice, or experiences if you wish, from people who already own a Xbox One.

Instead he gets jumped on by people telling him to make up his own mind.

This community can be quite hostile at times.
