    Converting Billing Methods


    I recently purchased a $25 XBox Gift Card in Canada, where I am staying for the summer. My account is registered in the US. The money shows up when i log in, but it says it is under my Canadian account, as if they are two separate accounts. I cannot purchase
    anything with this money since it is trapped in the mysterious Canadian account.

    Would anyone know how do access, and even better, transfer this money?

    Points to currency expire?

    Hello,

    Yes, this is the case. Any points that Microsoft converts to currency will expire on June 1, 2015 once they are converted. Any currency you add to your account via a Xbox Gift Card / Microsoft Account top up via a payment method will not expire.

    Creating Payment and Billing Method

    Am I allowed to create a fake address during payment for an item as the item being bought is only available in the US region. I am not from the US. The item is digital download and does not require shipment.

    Ps. I do have a payment and billing method set up for my own country but it does not pop up when I try to purchase the item.

    You can try contacting support, but generally it can't be transferred. The currency from gift cards are made for the region the card are made for. So cards from different countries won't just adjust to US currency.

    Unfortunately, you cannot use the Canadian funds from a profile that is set in the US (or any other region). If you were to migrate your region (support.xbox.com/.../change-region)
    to Canada, you should be able to access the funds. However, keep in mind that by doing so, you could potentially lose access to some of your US content and any US funds in your account. You can also only migrate your account region once every 3 months, so
    it would be some time before you could change it back.

    Hey dragoness,

    Can you tell us if the other profiles on the Family Plan converted proper or not?? It kinda sounds to me that the primary may have encountered a issue with their Billing Info or payment method.. If the other profiles converted that would rule out any payment
    or billing cause.
