Converting an External Hard Drive back from Xbox One Drive

Hey mate,

Yeah is a bit tricky, but definitely possible

Open Computer Management by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-clicking Computer Management. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation,
type the password or provide confirmation.

Right click on unallocated disk (your hard drive you want to fix)

Click on new patition

Then follow the steps on screen

I don't think I can link to other forums (where I got this info from), however if you google 'reformat xbox one hard drive' you should find some articles that will assist

Sorry to hear about the issue! Let's start with these steps and be sure to let us know if it helps!

• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console until it fully powers down.
• While your Xbox One console is powered off, unplug the hard drive from the Xbox One console.
• Turn the Xbox One console back on and plug the hard drive back in once your console has booted up.

If the issue persists, the next best step will be copy your files from your external hard drive to a Windows PC and then reformat your external hard drive. Once the hard drive has reformatted, throw a few of the files back on to test on your Xbox One.

You simply need to plug the external hard drive with the Xbox One games on it into the new console, then you can play games from the external hard drive, or transfer them from the external hard drive to the internal hard drive. You may need to update some
or all of the games, which will require the internet. But you don't need to re-download the whole game.
