convert internal to external w/out losing data

my son poured can of soda into the fan of my xbox pulled the harddrive out and was planing on using it as a external in my new xbox. the xbox doesnt reconize it i connected to pc and used xbox one external storage converter and changed it to pc mode. i deleted
all partitions except where games are and tried again. nothing. im now copying a game (not sure which i found file name that was the biggest and started taking all files with same name. is there a easier way or am i missing something. i connected a old sata
drive and it connected perfect. im moving the game to working external but would like to use the one that already has data on it please any insight would be nice.\

cant redownload due to slow internet speeds. im running at 756kb per second due to new apt having no good internet provider

Can't transfer or copy game saved data from internal hard drive to external hard drive.

Hello everyone!

I had to get an external hard drive because I ran out of space on my Xbox One (for some reason it only came with 365 GB of internal hard drive space). However, I transferred all my games to my 2 TB external hard drive, but it didn't transfer over the saved
game data and therefore the games that require it, don't load the saved data because the game is on the external HD while the saved data is on the internal HD.

Is there a way to transfer the saved data from the internal HD to the external HD?

Or should I just transfer the games that I want to play back to the internal hard drive because there is no fix for this issue?

 

How To Install Update If Internal Drive Is Full

I have Destiny installed on my internal hard drive. There is a Destiny update that I am trying to install, but I get an error that there is not enough space on my internal drive. I have installed a 2TB expansion drive, but the update will not install to
the external drive even though it is recognized by the system. Do I have to move the entire game to the external for the update to install? If so, how do I do that without losing my saved data?

 

What you're doing is actually a violation of the terms of service and cannot be discussed on the forums.

 

how is it a violation not sure i was doing anything wrong i own the games im not making copys just wanting to connect it to another xbox that again i own.???7

 

It's not really the issue of copying the games. Opening the console and doing anything with the parts inside is considered system tampering.
