Controls issues

Hey guys, I don't know if my controller is just going bad (second XOne controller within 6mo, but I'm having random issues while playing, such as going into random shadow moves. Sabrewulf Example: I do a jumpking HK, into MK manual, and to Hamstring... Instead
of going into Hamstring, it immediately goes into Shadow Jumping Claws, even though I only push MK. When playing as Sabre, I will also do a shadow Eclipse versus standard when only pressing HP.

With Sadira, she will do a counter breaker randomly when pressing any button. Also she won't perform double jumps at times, or will jump the wrong direction.

I don't generally see these same issues with other games, but then again, KI is the most button intensive game I have. I'm planning on purchasing yet again another controller, but I've never had to go through game controllers like this. With the Xbox 360,
I usually would burn out a controller every 6 mo... Thus far, I'm using up a controller ever 3 mo... HOWEVER, with all the netcode issues, I'm not sure if it is just poor netcode and such happening, or if I do need to indeed get a new controller...

I've disabled the left trigger keys as well...

I don't mind spending the money, but I don't want to purchase a new controller, if these issues having nothing to do with it.

Controler issues

There's most likely something causing interference either in your home or one of your neighbours. It sounds like the wireless band is pretty congested in your area there.

If you cannot find the source of the interference, I suggest you connect the controllers to the console via USB.

 

Control issues

For over a month I've tried to get someone's help on this. I purchased a new controller for my Xbox1

and the plug in is to shallow to stay in. I have to hold it a certain way of I get The "Reconnect your Controller"

message. I purchased in July and started having problems in August. Took it back to Gamestop and the problem was

CONFIRMED, but I was told I would have to contact Microsoft. Of course I did and I was quoted a price to fix it

that was twice the price of a new one. Why is this, I've read where other people have had this issue also.

 

Pretty sure you'll be pressing two buttons together by mistake. It's easily done if you get a bit frantic on the pad.

You could have a duff pad I suppose, but you'd think the problem would be inputs not being registered if the pad broke - really can't see how it would register an input when none was entered.

 

I'm not pressing more than one button. I was able to duplicate it two to three times. It doesn't happen in every fight, but occurs randomly, but once it does, it will continue to happen. I also recently tested a situation with Sadira, where I perform an
HK auto double after Widow's Bite, instead of doing HK auto double, it will do a MP. If those buttons were close relation to each other then, I would think I mispressed the button, but they are now where near one another.

Again, I don't know if it's my controller or simply the netcode going crazy.

 

You should check your controls and what buttons are assigned to what. I know most of the updates for this game have rewetted my custom controls so I had to do it again. Try that out.

 

I checked the button assignments right after the issue happened and the configuration is the same. Also it doesn't happen all the time it is intermediate.

 

If there is an issue with your controller you really shouldn't have to pay for another one. I don't know where you are from or the laws in your country, but in most places you should be able to return it for a replacement if it is faulty.

 

Stefraki, you are correct... if I was still under the limited warranty (which I might be) I could get a free replacement, but as I didn't purchase an extended warranty through Best Buy, I would have to go with the MS, and that would be more problems than
it is worth... In respect to my original question, I dusted off my Day One Edition Xbox One controller, and sure enough, it worked fine for the most part. I then tested the alt controller, and my "newer" Xbox One controller is definitely shot. Warranties
are a good idea, but I doubt they are going to cover Excessive Sadira Usage Syndrome.

 

@RaGnArOk30 well it was bought with the purpose of playing video games on it, you've played videogames on it for less than a year. In the EU/UK you would be covered by law to get a replacement if all you'd been doing with it was its intended purpose. Don't
know if the US has the same protections, but it would be kind of a travesty if they didn't.

 

I did manage to get a new controller and this time I put an extended warranty (via Best Buy) so that if anything happens to the controller within the next two years, I get a free new replacement. It's nice to be able to push buttons and things happen...
