Controlller headset voice chat not working

I have a problem with voice chat. I can hear people but they can't hear me. I have used 2 controllers and 2 headsets now. Still the same problem.

My friends say from time to time they can here a buzzing noice but no voice. this has been like this for two weeks now and is really starting to get annoying

Yes I have done everthing that xbox one support says to do

Been with xbox since the beginning, I am a fanboy BUT

I have to be honest... I'm about 1 glitch away from selling my x1 and moving to sony. EVERYDAY it is something. Sound not working. Black screen of death. Headset adapter not working, controlller not working. pins not working store not working chat not
working cant connect, netflix not working voice commands not working party not working. I AM SO FED UP. I am seriously wondering if this was rushed just to meet sony's release timeline. This is pathetic. FIX THIS STINKING CONSOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Voice chat not working

The voice chat is not working even with a brand new headset and current gold subscription. Please help.

Try a Skype test to see if the light indicates that you are speaking -

Try recording a msg to a friend then instead of sending it play it back to find if any is heard

Sounds like it might be that the wires connecting the mic stick to the ear piece has come disconnected and a good way to find this out is to move the mic stick itself up, down while speaking into it to see if you can find a sweet spot where it picks up voice

Obviously it is not your Nat type because you can hear others.

the buzzing would indicate a possible lose wire inside the headset itself concentrating on the mic stick

Hey Cookie,

I am also having a chat headset issue. I got my Xbox One on April 18th.

I get no sound from the earphone in-game or when I playback a voice message before I send it.

I've gone through all the steps that are suggested by the support and the headset works, thanks to the Skype test. It recorded my voice and played it back through the earphone.

If I start a party, my icon lights up when I talk.

But with the headset plugged in whilst in-game online, none of the other players voices comes from the headphone. If I disconnect the headset, thier voices come through the T.V.

I've got no idea what is going on, so any help from anywhere would be great. Thanx.

Could be a controller issue. I would try going wired with controller and making sure it is updated and see if that helps.

You can also try a power drain.

Also you can check for Nat type issues

Please let me know what your NAT type is even though it may not be NAT related I am still interested Please

This issue may happen if your profile and the controller are losing their association.

If this happens when you are in a party for example, just go to the upper left corner of the main dashboard, click on your profile and choose your profile again. This may sound funny, but had that often by myself and this always fixed it.

It's a headset for voice chat, but I think this guy is talking about gaming headsets, where both voice chat and game audio come thru.
