Controlling skips when scrolling

So when I scroll with my controller. It likes to move multiple spaces instead of just one. Like on the dashboard it’ll go over a couple tiles instead of just one. I went to check the controller by testing which button are activated. When I did that it showed the right thumb stick always going right. And would not go left. I don’t know how to fix this problem

Are you using your controller on Xbox, right?

Do you have Xbox Accessories App installed?

Try to check your controller mapping and sensitivity on it:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Under Profile & system, select Settings.

Under Devices & connections, select Accessories.

On the Xbox Controller screen, select Configure.

Carefully review the current mapping for each of the buttons on your controller. You can also select Restore to default to set the controller back to its original button mapping.

If the mapping is ok and you're still having this issue, please let me know.

My old controller was sticky. But i got a new one and same issue .The new one is well new so its clean .

when i move my right stick a little bit it stops it for about 30 seconds, then it starts again, i also use my controller plugged in so i don’t know if that would change anything, the everything double moves when i use it, for instance, when i’m scrolling on youtube, it will skip a spot and move to the next

Hi, one question, have you tried resetting your router and modem? If you have you may need to skip the sign-in and then scroll over to settings, click System, scroll down and click storage, hover over your hard drive and click Y, and lastly scroll to clear
system cache. When this is finished restart your xbox and try updating again.
