    Controlling my own HDD/saved games

Hopefully someone from Microsoft will read this. I know your company had the best of intentions by automatically controlling saved material etc to the cloud. It saves space on the HDD for the 35 GB game installs. BUT if you're like me...I've been plagued
by Battlefield 4 and the campaign progress being lost. I understand this is a glitch on the games behalf and it also falls into the game crashes and corrupts the save. BUT what what would make it sooooo much easier is to let us control where we want to save
the file. For instance if I saved one on the cloud and one on my HDD and one of them got corrupted...I'd have have a backup! What a genius idea! But since your company wants full control... I can't do so. Now I've lost about 10 hours of my life playing battlefield
4 and yet again have to start over. Pls pls pls...send it up the chain of command and explain explain to them how this solution would well...SOLVE a major issue with said issue described above...game save corruption etc etc.

    :)

  2. Transferring game data to a new xbox

I hate to disagree with you Smwutches, but there is a way!

Transfer the saved game from your Xbox, to a USB flash drive. Then plug the flash drive into his Xbox and have him sign into his profile, next "Copy" the saved game to his HDD. He will then become the new "Owner" of the saved game and he will be able to
    load it using his profile.

  3. How to copy Far Cry 5 saved game to HDD

    Hi There,

I have been playing Far Cry 5 and i want to start a new game.

Having read and followed online instructions i have found you can only have one saved game per user profile. I still want to keep my curent progress, i can find the saved game data under the "manage" tab in the game on X-Box games and apps.

However i cant move or copy this saved game data to a HDD, is there any other way to access this saved game data from the cloud or even the X-Box?

I have a HDD that i use to backu my X-Box and games i dont want on my console but i cant copy saved games to this HDD.

    Any assistance or advice?

    Many Thanks

no legitimate method available to back them up.

MS has already said file management is coming with the USB storage update. It's not going to fix the problem you've described. Complain to EA.

Being able to have multiple save files when one gets corrupted WOULD save the problem. The problem lies within the game crashing and pulling the save from the cloud. If I had 2-3 save files...when the game crashes and reloads...I can load one of my save
files (not the default as that one is now corrupted) and bam....I've lost nothing but the little bit of time I'd been playing that day.

    Proof,
please. Far as I'm aware, it's soundly a DICE problem.

Again, you're assuming BF4 allows you to have multiple save game files. That's a decision the developers control, not Microsoft. While MS may not be exposing where the file is and allowing for its movement at the moment, that doesn't mean multiple save "slots"
or files aren't possible on a single storage device.

    hahaha yay, Im not alone.

im in the same boat as you, For me the question is simple, why did i pay for a 500Gb HDD when i cant save my local game progress onto it? so in other words do we need the 500Gb, or could that have cut down on cost of console if they went with 300Gb. I thought
Microsoft and the likes were those pointing fingers on guys like apple for wanting to control everything. Now they are doing the same and cant even deliver. At least apple delivers. Im on my 3rd factory reset now, please help or refund me.
