Controlling AV equipment: Volume through TV instead of receiver

I have my Xbox One configured to turn on/off all of my equipment. I currently have the Xbox One plugged into my Yamaha receiver through HDMI, which is plugged into my Samsung TV through HDMI. I only use the receiver as an HDMI switcher and pass through
the audio to the TV to output through its speakers. My volume is controlled by the TV instead of the receiver. When I say "Xbox, Volume UP" or "Xbox, Mute" the command is sent to the receiver instead of the TV. Is there any way to change what device receives
volume commands? I can remove the receiver from known devices, but then it does not turn on/off with the Xbox. It seems that as soon as I configure the Xbox to know my receiver, it assumes that I want the receiver to control my volume settings.

    :)

  2. Setup with AV Receiver

So currently I have an AV Receiver in my Home Theater setup. Will that work with X1?

Right now Xbox 360, BluRay and DirectTv plug into AV Receiver via HDMI and 1 HDMI cable runs behind wall to TV.

With X1 I expect to have setup as follows:

X1 and Xbox 360 plug into AV Receiver.

    DirecTv box plugs into X1.

Dont need Blu-Ray any longer so will move to another TV.

Will this work? Will X1 be able to control the AV Receiver and TV? When I say "Xbox, On" will it turn on the X1, TV and AV Receiver? When I say "Xbox, Raise Volume" will the X1 raise the volume on the AV Receiver?

    Xbox One Controller Volume Control

And Kinect already controls volume on the device of one's choosing - TV or AV Receiver.
