    Hi,

    I'm having an issue with xbox controllers.

    A friend offered me an Xbox 360 controller a year ago, and it started to not being recognized by my computer (usb disconnect every time). Tried to uninstall / install drivers, on several computers... Nothing to do, it happend every time i bent the wire.
    So i figured out the wire was defective, only few months after i started to use the controller (it was new). No bill since it was a gift, so i couldnt return it.

    I heard by my friend that was weird and xbox controllers have a good reputation. I considered it as bad luck and went buy a new one. This time a Xbox One controller.

    Well, few weeks after i started playing with it, new issue : the RT buttons stuck itself for a few seconds sometimes. Very annoying.

    I searched on google, and opened the controller to see what was going on. Really difficult to open, screws were very tight. And i had to force it.

    Once open : A problem with the spring. I fixed it, but i couldnt close it correctly, due to the forcing :/.

    Few days later, problem is back : my fix wasnt good enough, the spring is defective and since the controller doesnt close correctly, i doubt i can get the money back from the store...

    So my questions are : am i unlucky ? Because everyone is telling me xbox controllers is good stuff... Should i change for another brand ?

    And can i get some charitable act from microsoft ? I mean, when u buy a controller, ur suppose to keep it for many many years (my N64 controllers are still working...)

    Left stick doesn't. Work correctly

    Do you by chance have a second controller signed in, that is pushing up?

    On the main Xbox menus, multiple controllers are "fighting" over the control of the dashboard, and every controller can move the cursor.

    When you start a game, each controller is assigned to a specific player, and only that player is controlled. So if a second controller is always pushing up, it won't affect control in a game of the first controller anymore.
