    Hello "fuelldbyhate" Controllers :)

Sorry to hear about your issues, I hope that you will be happy again soon.

I just replaced the Xbox One controller that came with my console today, it lasted 8 months. The right analog stick was drifting up Controllers :(

Fortunately, I was prepared and I had bought two extra ones just in case LOL Controllers :)

FPS games destroy analog sticks, and buying the Kinectless Xbox One allowed me to purchase an extra controller.

Have a nice day or afternoon or night "fuelldbyhate" Controllers :)

  6. Hello "fuelldbyhate" Controllers :)

Destiny made me replace my controller, but it was totally worth it as my game time is now 900 hours plus and rising LOL Controllers :)

    I love Destiny Controllers :)

People who don't play FPS games tend to replace their controllers A LOT less.

  7. I had 2 controllers that broke early on too. Instead of getting a new 1 or returning them to MS to get fixed, I sent them to an online retailer of custom controllers after emailing them asking if they were willing to fix them for me. Hoping to earn a new
customer, they agreed and fixed them for less than half the price of a new controller! Both controllers work better than ever now - they even tightened the whole thing! It's rock-solid.

Maybe you should try this. Controllers ;)

I just made this post in another thread:

I agree that it all depends on how you play. Some people will just naturally go through controllers faster.

That being said, I can also say this. With my 360, a new controller became a annual purchase (usually a birthday present). By that time, nearly every controller I had would start to get drift on the left thumb stick.

I got my One, December of 2013 and I still have the controller that came with it. So far it hasn't shown any sign of drift. Maybe I'm just lucky or maybe it's because of the different stick design, I don't know. All
I can say is that I honestly expected to have replaced the OG controller by now.

I'm not saying you mistreat your controller... but by the same token, different people have different tendencies. Not everyone has the same strength, [knee jerk] reactions and
play style. You can no more claim they are poorly made, low quality than I can claim they're rock solid and will outlast the 360 ones.

  10. I've went through maybe 5 Xbox 360 controllers, and it happened to always be the left analog stick for me. I'm going to dread it when I get an Xbox One and the controller starts going on me. Controllers :(

  11. I must be gentle on controllers because I have all my originals on every console. Either that or I've been lucky.

  12. Their hasn't been a redesign on the 3D Annolg sensors since the year 2000. Their has been on the shafts going from metal to plastic, and various thicknesses/lenghts of the shafts, but the base is still the same for the Original Xbox, the 360, and the Xbox
    One.

No way to avoid getting drift, even is you don't play FPS games.

Best way to prolong the life of a controller is to learn how to clean it properlly. What causes drift is oil from your hands along with food particles drops past the opening around the thumbsticks and builds up on the PCB board. Then when you click the thumbstick
while running etc, you're actually bending the pot spring in that direction. Thus you get drift.

For the record. I recieved my 360 as a gift some 5 years ago, have played 100's of hours of Halo with default settings, and am still using the controller that came with my Xbox 360. Only thing I had to have replaced is the L bumper button which the guy took
from an old Curtis Mathis TV set. Cost me 2 bucks, and the controller hasn't failed since. (Knock on wood)

Back on the 360 even replacing the analogue sticks yourself was considered system tampering. You or third party repair shops weren't allowed to fix the controllers, you had to send them off to Microsoft or buy new ones.

  14. That would be news to me, Vaynel, as I wasn't aware of any such policy. Still, according to my source, he used all official parts.
