controllers wont update with headset adaptor connected

hey all.

im having issues updating the controllers with the headset adaptor connected.

i have followed the steps, tried troubleshooting etc but just no matter what i try, the controller will not update with the adaptor connected.

it will however update the controller if i remove the adaptor... yet every time i connect the adaptor now i still get the prompt to update the controller.

anyone else have a similar issue or a fix?

Xbox One April Update is live tonight

This is probably the best part of this update that I like.

 

Headset adapter producing TERRIBLE voice chat quality via party chat.

Have you made sure you have done the software update for the controller/adaptor? Adaptor must be fully connected to controller and headset and controller connected to console via USB. It will then auto prompt the software update for the adaptor. Must be
done for each controller you own.

 

Same problem here and no solution...

 

I am having the same issue.

Every time I plug the adapter in, xbox prompts me to update, but when I go to update, it fails.

Interestingly, if I choose not to update then the headset works...

 

Exactly scr3wdriver, it works when you say no but occasionally the update prompt pops up in the middle of a Titanfall session and that is not a good thing at all!

I'm glad I'm not the only one.. I spoke to Microsoft online chat for half an hour yesterday and they had no solution for me, just had me do the thins I had tried already.. Power cycles, different cables and USB ports etc etc

Hopefully with the next console update this will work for us..

 

I bought my adapter today and for the life of me I tried every trouble shoot method , power cycled off my Xbox , used different ports and still my Xbox will not update. Called Xbox and they too had me redo what I done with no solution. About 2 hours in I
gave up and had a beer .

 

Well I'm kind of glad it's not just me but I'm still bugged that I can't get it to take the update... And no one has any idea why and no solution..

 

yah its been months now with this problem. It's BS

hey microsoft, how about a little technical support on this one!
