Controllers won't sync and picture won't display on tv. PLEASE HELP.

First we would recommend plugging the console directly into a wall outlet as power strips will cause the console issues.

If you are still not seeing a change let's be sure to test the console on another TV and then get back to us.

Have you also tested another HDMI cable with the console and TV?

If you're using an HDMI connection between the Xbox 360 and the TV, it might be that. When using HDMI, the Xbox won't boot up until it knows what the TV is capable of displaying. Although the controller will turn the console on, it won't sync with the console
-- and it's not a controller or console problem, but just a symptom of the fact that the Xbox won't get to the point where controllers will sync until it can properly communicate with the TV. I'd recommend turning off the TV and the Xbox, disconnecting the
HDMI cable and re-connecting it after making sure the contacts are clean. Then turn the Xbox back on first; you'll likely to see the same behavior. Finally, turn the TV back on. With it being switched back into HDMI mode, it just might "kick-start" the Xbox
into a good communication link across HDMI. Hope that helps.

So I’m not trying to use the Xbox through my tv. I’m trying to control my PC through the Xbox with the wireless display app. I’m beginning to think that it is not possible either even though many “tech experts” claim to be able to do so easily, in their clickbait articles on the web

You need to have your controller synced directly to the PC if you want to control it. If the controller is synced to the console, it won't control the PC.

Of what you are using is a wireless display app, you won't be able to control the Xbox trough the tv, if your Tv supports android apps you should install the Xbox app, this will allow you to play remotely or while using wireless display the controller must be connected to the Xbox not the TV
