    Controllers won’t stay synched


    Hi I have had my XBox One for several years and the conrollers have never worked wirelessly consistently. I have purchased 3 different controllers, have updated XBox and controllers, have tried dozens of different batteries and tested them, have tried
    all of the steps in the wireless controller troubleshooting guide, and it seems like I am out of options. I have spent hundereds of dollars on this system and it’s accessories and I am beyond disappointed that they don’t work. I am also very displeased that
    your system tells me that phone and chat support are not available for my issues. I would like the support that your company promises.

    Thank you so much for the update and in this case, you may need to get the external hard drive checked, Braden especially if there is no issue if it's not plugged in. I would highly recommend reaching out to Seagate support.

    I tried this but it didn’t work whenever I plug it in if my controller ever does stay on it barely works and it moves a lot on its own. Everything works fine when it’s not plugged in.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    This may mean that the issue is with your external hard drive. It may have been corrupted which is why every time to plug it into your console it causes issues.

    What you can try to do is to reformat the drive to try and fix it. Please follow the steps below:

    "Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

    Select your device, and then select Format."

    Once done, remove the hard drive, then perform a power cycle, and test if the issue will still persist.

    "1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​"
