  1. Controllers won't connect to Xbox One

I purchased my Xbox One back in December 2014. During the initial setup of the Xbox, the controller that came in box successfully synced to the console hardware (for the first and last time). I got everything connected and ready to go only to encounter console
updates that ended up taking the rest of the night. The next day I booted up the console and discovered that I could no longer get the controller to sync. I had a USB cable I used to connect to the console and checked for controller updates, which there was.
I was still unable to connect after the controller update. Just in case it was a weak battery issue, I went out and got new batteries and tested those: no go. I picked up a play and charge kit to get the longer USB cord (and on the off chance the battery pack
and the Xbox got along a little better). Still nothing. Frustrated, I sat back and decided to buy a new controller to test and in the meantime deal with playing with the controller wired. The new controller came in, tried to connect with a new set of batteries:
no connection. On the off chance I was just being an idiot, I swapped a controller with a coworker who owned an Xbox One. He was able to connect the controller to his Xbox, and I could not connect his KNOWN WORKING controller to mine.

I was curious if wifi interference was an issue and tried to connect with my wireless router turned off and with the xbox sitting outside of my media center in case the furniture was blocking anything. Still nothing. At this rate I was completely out of
ideas and fed up with the process. I quit playing the Xbox for months and eventually got roped back in by the Rare Collection and Halo 5.

I opened an online support ticket (1302305514) on the Xbox One and sent it to Microsoft for repair. After a couple weeks it came back. After plugging everything back in: the only way to connect the controllers was to have them wired. The same issue was still
present. I triple checked the shipping box and all there was was a generic slip saying thanks for being patient. Nothing about what Support had attempted or that they were able to sync controllers to my Xbox One, nothing.

At this rate I feel like I've exhausted most avenues and just want to play with a wireless controller. Whenever I grab my wireless xbox controller that only works wired, it feels like I've traveled back to the 1990's. I've gone through all the controller
connection knowledge articles and nothing ever works. I do admit to NOT calling Support. I prefer to avoid that wherever possible and didn't want to be forced to go through all the troubleshooting I've already done a second time. I'd rather write a long arduous
    post on a forum.

Any thoughts or similar experiences that may shine a light on my controller woes?

    :)

I have 0 controllers connected to my Xbox because I can't connect any. It isn't just my one controller that won't connect, none of my 4 controllers will.

    Xbox One controller/Compatibility.

Nope, the Xbox 360 controllers won't work with the Xbox One. The Xbox 360 controllers use IR to connect to the console, whilst the Xbox One uses WiFi direct (way faster than IR).

Same here. It will connect but it won't stay connected for very long. I have an Xbox One X but I'm sure the controller is the same.

My sync button turns off my Xbox one X and won't connect any controllers.

When controllers do connect they disconnect and flash.

Had this problem since beginning of February.
