    Controllers turn off with full charge when headset is connected


    I left my Xbox controllers plugged in and charging all day, they have rechargable batteries. I took one off the charger, checked the battery charge on the home screen and it said full charge, I plug in my headset, it dies after about 10 seconds. This happens to both controllers, EVEN when plugged in via USB. Everyone keeps saying to plug in my controllers or make sure they're fully charged and I have. Both of those solutions end in the same result. Does anybody have any help?

    Hi CaramelSmooth, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Since this is happening with multiple controllers the issue can be the headset or the console.

    Have you tried to plug in a different headset to check if the same issue will occur?

    Can you check the batteries/charge on your controller? That can cause some of the features to turn off when the batteries are going out. And what type of headset are you using? Is it a 3.5mm headset connection, or an Xbox controller adapter headset?
    What brand? That can help us identify some other troubleshooting steps.

    I have the same issue. It's okay when watching NETFLIX with a headset connected but Amazon Prime Video turns off the controller. It's very irritating.

    Connecting a USB cable is unacceptable. The controller is supposed to be wireless. I'm not using a blooming charging cable because then the controller won't be wireless. Not sure if it makes a difference but I'm using rechargable batteries and the headset

    If it were a built-in headphone jack, then it would turn off when the controller itself was turned off, right? It connects when I plug in my headset.

    Rechargeable question.

    Yeah, on the end of the usb cable that connects to the controller, there is a light, that when charging is orange, and when full, turns white.

    I had my controller die on me the other day, and don't remember getting any prompts that it was low on charge.
