Controllers randomly lose sync

Late last year my main xbox one controller started randomly losing sync. My spare controller has been sitting in a drawer since I bought the console a few years ago so I hooked it up and same deal, random dropouts. This happens whether I’m using regular
batteries, a rechargeable battery pack or individual rechargeable batteries. The dropouts cease if I am sitting less than 1m from the console but this is less than ideal. Using the controllers wired there is no problem at all so this is what I have been doing
for the last few weeks.

The console is fully updated as are the controllers and the dropouts have been an issue with 3 different houses/room setups/tv’s so I don’t think interference is the issue. Any thoughts?

What the f##k, I have 2 faulty controllers from Microsoft, common fault RB button on one controller doesn't work and my other controller randomly loses sync with Xbox, had enough now, next console will most likely be a PlayStation. Buying a long usb lead
to see if controller still loses sync.

 

Controllers turn Xbox on then disconnect

I have a problem that keeps randomly happening-- both of my controllers will suddenly lose sync with my original Xbox One. Both will start the console up, but then both lose connection and their lights start blinking. I have tried:

1. Connecting a USB cable

2. Updating the firmware

3. Hard reset of the Xbox One (holding the front button down)

4. Powercycle of the Xbox One (disconnecting the power for a minute and plugging back in)

5. Re-syncing the controllers using the button on the side and the button on the controllers

In the past when this has happened, I just kept rebooting the console until the controllers behaved. Now even that isn't working.

The Xbox Twitter support people keep telling me I need to replace the controllers but that makes no sense to me since they both always lose sync at the same time.

Any help here would be appreciated.

I have the same problem and it's just getting worse. Started about half a year ago and nothing has changed in my living room. I've read a lot of forums and many many has the same problem. MS will not acknowledge the problem. I'm considering to swap the
the wifi board as I read it might be the problem. If that will not do it I'm going for the new PS 4
