Controllers not working properly with console

BACKGROUND

- Bought my Xbox1 at the end of 2013 during xmas week.

- Have always treated it good, keeping it clean, not moving it while it's running, not shutting off during updates, ect

- Been a loyal Xbox customer since the original came out in 2001. Never gave into Sony or GTA in that era.

- Didnt' have any issues for first few months, then suddenly, it hasn't been working right since. I played couple games for 3weeks after first buying it, didn't play it until 8months later when Destiny came out, (from a halo fan, destiny wasn't interesting
for me), then didn't play it until MCC came out.

PROBLEM(s)

1) After turning Xbox1 on, I get low battery warning on controllers frequently, even though I've tried 3 different controllers. (two of them were new out of box). They have new batteries, and its plugged in via charge cable. It doesn't matter if its plugged,
or just wirelessly linked to the console, I still get the low battery warnings and complete disconnections (forcing me to turn the controller back on in-game).

2) Also, my Xboxone headset thats plugged into my controller seems to only turn on (as in game sound coming out of it) whenever it "feels like it." Sometimes right away sound will work, sometimes its 5, 10min, 20min of playing before the sound will come
through the headset. (ive unplugged/plugged connections, ect, nothing seems to help).

3) Sometimes when pressing start and going to the main dashboard, the console will freeze solid and i can't do anything,
except hold the start button down to turn off the console via controller.

After some reading it may be a hardware issue and need a new console... I've tried to find a way to delete Xbox1 updates and reinstall them, but don't know how.

Xbox One Controllers

I'm experiencing problems with every Xbox One controller i have. I had two controllers originally that both started playing up at around the same time about 6 months ago so i bought a new controller a few days ago and it's not working properly either,
I'm experiencing glitchy problems on a number of different games with my controllers and not sure what's going on and if it's a console issue as it doesn't seem to matter what controller i use none of them are working properly?

Hey there Goth! Just to clarify, this is the only controller you have trouble with, and it is also not working properly on the PC either? Have you had a chance to try it on another console to see what happens? If it consistently doesn't function properly
on many consoles (where other controllers work fine) my assumption is that the controller is no longer functioning properly. I would recommend a replacement for it. Please let us know how that goes, thanks!

 

I have quite similar issue. The console doesn't freeze but the controller doesn't work, the voice commands still work. Xbox support told I should replace my controller but I feel like most likely feel it's a problem with the console. HELP

 

Have you tried updating the firmware on your controllers? Plug your controller (with headset) into the console with a USB cable. Press the Menu button. Go to Settings...Devices & accessories...pick a controller. What does the Firmware Version say? I
think the current version is 1.1.2228.0. The last menu option should be Update. If you already have the current firmware version it should say 'No update available'. Check each controller.
