    I have an original Xbox one with 2 original controllers and a removable USB wired connector so I don't have to worry about batteries. My headset is a seinheiser with turtle beach adapter so I can use headphone jack. My brother has an Xbox one s and after
    plugging them into my brother's Xbox to play some split screen halo both my controllers immediately stopped being able to output sound to my headset when I plugged them back into the original Xbox. I didn't notice that was problem until the second controller but
    it was working fine up until I used it with the one s. I was hoping you could update the firmware so I can use my controllers in the future. Currently i am using my brother's one s controller on my original Xbox
    so I can can use my headset.

    okay also I have updated all 3 controllers to work with stereo headset adapter......now I get no chat sound out of the chat headset even if all other controllers are off. does the chat headset no longer function with the new update?????????

    Problem with Stereo headset

    I bought the Xbox One stereo headset today, and after a frustrating day of trying to make it work properly, with xbox live down and all, anyway, I've tried to make the headset work with my Cod AW controller and it won't work, the controller recognizes
    the adaptor but it does not produce any sound out of the headphones, the headset works with my other 3 controllers, what is causing this issue, the headset or the controller? all the controllers are fully upgraded.

    Check your console's audio settings and be sure that it's set to put out audio through the headphones. It sounds like it's a console-wide/account setting or a error, not an issue with the controller or the headset.

    Sounds like it could be a problem with the headset port of the controller - they have been known to wear out, if this is the case then a headset adaptor might be a viable alternative to the 3.5mm socket in the controller.

    That means that your controller isn't assigned to you. Head to Settings>Devices and assign it to your gamertag. That should put the sound back through the headset.

    It is in no way an opinion? Fact: Dolby surround sound is missing from Optical Out, They are coming out with some adapter dongle to add to controller to work with current headsets which then you will have to plug your wireless dongle into it, that's just
    a mess,

    Even Turtle Beach was surprised at the no Dolby thing as they always said the sound part would be fully compatible with almost all there surround sound headsets. It was said on there support page for months. In fact is still says it.

    Fact: We are stuck using a 99 cent chat microphone wired to the controller in place of our nice headphones.

    Fact: My guess it will be tech support to put a patch out to fix this, it will not be the sales or marketing staff.
