Controllers Not Having A “Start” Button For 360 Games

due to your button being jammed then your three lines button which is also the start button won't work correctly, fix that first.

In the meantime, try power cycling your console to see if that helps:

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.

Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, try to remove and re-add your profile on the console.

The options button serves as the "start" button on current Xbox 360 controllers. It brings up the in-game UI.

If you are playing 360 games from an Xbox One, press the Start button and the Select button at the same time on your controller and you will access the Xbox 360 guide.
