Controllers losing sync and won’t stay synced.

I bought an Xbox One S about 2 weeks ago to play with a couple friends from work and for about a week straight now I’ve been having a constant problem with my controllers de-syncing while the console is “shut-down” and then not re-syncing when I hold
down the two sync buttons, both console and controller just flash until the 20 seconds on the console is up. The first time this happened simply plugging the controller in with a USB micro re-synced it and everything worked fine. The next few times though
the controller would stay synced while it was connected via USB but as soon as you unplug the cable the controller loses its sync. The only way I’ve found to rectify this is by doing a complete system shutdown from the settings menu and booting up from there
with the controller plugged in which is a little bit annoying. The system and controllers, been trying with multiple controllers which all de-sync, are all brand new as are the batteries in the controllers and both controllers and the system are completely
up to date. The only other problem i cant find online is radio interference from wifi networks but none of my other wireless controllers have ever had this problem.

I have the same problem when I turn on the Xbox first and then the controller, however I can still turn on the Xbox using the controller and if I do it this way this problem doesn't happen.

Have you updated the controller firmware yet?

Thank you for the response. I’ve tried with multiple controllers though which makes me believe the issue isn’t with them. I will continue troubleshooting on my own and try to figure out why i suppose.

you may have defective controllers i have had this issue in the past as well mine worked fine plugged in but if it was wireless it would keep saying controller not connected or it could also be a defect with the xbox which is normal sometimes through the
manufactuar i myself had to buy a new system my problem got fixed after doing so but on another note have you tried contacting microsoft via phone you may be able to get the problem fixed faster than you think

these are Microsoft controllers and I have been through the sync process with them and they will occasionally sync for a minute or two but not stay synced.
