    Controller's Left Stick Problem


    Hi.

    I've been using a wired Xbox 360 controller for about a year and now, the left stick is "broken". By "broken" I mean that when playing 3D games, my character will react to my inputs correctly, but when I push the stick ALL the way up, my character will walk
    slowly (instead of run) as if I gently pushed the stick up. All the other directions work fine.

    I was wondering if anyone ever had this problem and how they may have fixed it.

    Sorry for the mistakes, English isn't my first language.

    Sprint Problems

    Street Fighter completely wore down one of my controller's left stick, it only took 2 months of play before it became completely unusable. FPS games aren't such a problem for controllers.

    Right out of the box my controller's left stick doesn't register left or right movements. So is there a fix, or am I just screwed?

    I talked to an Microsoft Employee and he said I could get a new one for $40 CND + Shipping + Tax. At that price, I'd rather buy a new one.

    I suppose I can't really ask for advises on how to repair my controller myself, so case close.

    Mine is the same way. I just bought it and want to make sure this is normal and not something I should try to get fixed before the warranty is up.

    I hear the Xbox One controller originally had some problems with the left analog stick. It's possible that it would be a problem in the elite controller. I don't own one myself, but analog sticks go pretty fast and fairly easily.

    But yeah, I take it you recently purchased it, so it should be under warranty, send that bad boy in and get it repaired or get a replacement if possible. Should be free as it should be under warranty yet. :)

    I had the same problem. When I sharply move the stick up and release the stick. But I only have a problem on the left stick. I didn't check it on the right stick. At first I thought it was the controller, but then I checked the other two controllers from Xbox One and they also had the same problem, although I haven’t used them for a long time and there were no problems with them.

    Third lowest on the left would be Caps and toggled via Left Stick (LS). The two sticks on your controller can be pressed into the controller as if they were buttons. Press the Left Stick in and you'll change between caps and lowercase.
