Controllers keep disconnecting after the latest firmware update

Hi last night I updated my Xbox one to the latest firmware and ever since my controllers keep disconnecting, I have two so at first I kept switching between the two until they both wouldn't connect. I ended up having to turn off my system in the middle
of an online Fifa game. what can I do to solve this problem, is this happening to anybody else?

Controllers wont power on system, if so, then won't sync

Just got the latest Xbox update and this controller issue still remains... thousands of post about disconnecting controllers and no fixes !

 

After the September update, controller is disconnecting all the time!

Same problem with both of my controllers. They started disconnecting right after the update. No difference with battery pack/normal batteries. I guess I will have to keep my charger cable plugged in until MS patches this problem

 

Have you tried updating the controller's?

Or try resetting the Xbox by holding the power button on front of the Xbox until it turns off then unplug it for 5-10 mins

 

What do you mean by updating the controllers?

 

In the system sections part of the menu there is a part where you can actually update the firmware on the controller, I think its in a section called peripherals (but don't quite me on that)

All you do is follow the onscreen instructions and it will update the firmware, you will need a USB cable (I use the one that came with my mobile phone)
