Controllers Frequently Disconnecting

So...I went to Costco tonight. My intent was to exchange my XB1 for another in hopes of fixing my controller issue. FAT CHANCE as it turns out.

The Costco employee showed me his computer screen after I asked where all the XB1s went. He showed me that the entire SF Bay area did not have any except for a few returns.

Why? You might ask???

He showed me the code that indicated THEY WERE ALL RETURNED TO MS FOR NOT SELLING FAST ENOUGH!!! He said the one pallet they had sat there for 3 months without selling out. In contrast, they're on their 3rd shipment of S4 consoles.

I bought a PS4 today after having an Xbox since before XB Live.

I'll keep the XB1 for a few more weeks in the hope that MS fixes the controller issue, but as soon as I hit submit on this posting, I'll be installing my new PS4 in the hole left by my XB1.

Edit, a friend in Mountain House says his Costco has Xbox Ones. So I'm not really sure what area sent them back. Gilroy, CA dednt have them and neither did Coleman Ave in Santa Clara. Those are the only ones I've physically been to and seen them suddenly
gone.

 

I have the same problem. My controller disconnects frequently and consistently. I have tried moving everything electronic out of the way with no success. It's pretty obvious to me that this is a hardware fault. Other controllers on the same console disconnect
also.

 

Before the September update, never had a problem disconnecting the controller! The controller LED blinks and it gets disconnected for 2 or 3 seconds and connect again! I believe it is not hardware but bug in update! Someone with the same problem after the
last update?

 

I'm having this issue, even tho I have my XB1 patched into my router with cat5e patch lead, the rest of the devices in my home use wifi without issues, specifically they do not drop out due to interference.

If using a wireless controller and having the console connected to a WiFi AP at the same time is an issue...why do they sell and market the consoles as being able to do it? Any way I am literally 2 meters away from the console and in direct line of site
so interference my ***. It only happened after I updated the controller anyway.

They stuffed up the controller firmware in the last update, and they know it too, that's why you don't hear much from them.

 

HardcoreHarris, it sure is bug in the update! I have the same problem! Many people are! The way is not to change the console is waiting for that fix the problem.

I did replace the console but the fault persists.

I have two controllers, and it does it with both.

Please Miss communicate this problem to the developers.

Hey everyone see if you have yet an update to your console, I'm unsure if someone watching here pushed me an update or what because I definitely already got the September update and I'm not in the preview program (But I reckon I should be) so it definitely
isn't the October update, but I received a 258mb update yesterday and it looks like it has solved my problem!

Finally fixed my problem. Here are the steps I used for resolution, after owning an xbox from the first model and the XB Live beta:

1. Returned my console to Costco.

2. Sold all XB1 games and accessories on Craigslist.

3. Bought PS4 from Costco.

I have the exact same issue. I have another console that works absolutely fine with the same controller in the exact same position as the faulty console. It is definitely a faulty hardware issue not related to interference or caching, settings, update controller
or anything else.

I am going to start a thread separately detailing the absolute gong show that I am going through with Microsoft at the moment. Feel free to drop in and have a laugh at my expense as it is so chaotically and poorly managed by Microsoft it is funny.

 

I would agree with you if I had not tried them all including the one to make me replace the consol! Is it possible that I have an outlet with the same fault?

If I put the console of my brother instead of my the problem goes away then it is not a problem of location and equipment.

My controller on its consol work fine.

Two consol with the same defect that luck! I think there should be a firmware problem. *** that Microsoft can not even deign to let us know if it is working or not?
