Controllers don't stay synced to Xbox One after turning them off

I have two controllers and ever since the controller update my controllers will not sync with the Xbox One unless I plug it directly into the Xbox One each time I want to play. So anytime I want to play a game I have to turn on my controller and Xbox One
and then plug in the controller for a few seconds and then I can use it. Any suggestions?

Anyone Else Have Random Controller Sync Issues?

NOT DISCONNECTS. It's fine when it's connected, I mean literally staying synced after the console is powered off. In instant on mode the controller wouldn't turn it back on after it being turned off, so I switch to energy save and that worked for a day or two then again controller won't turn on the console after its off. It syncs fine once I manually power on the console from the front button.

Is it related to plugging it into a surge protector? When I unplug it or reset the surge protector it works again with the controller power on method.

 

Wireless controllers will not sync to console

Turning off the computer did not work. Before I had this problem, I also had another issue involving the controllers. The controllers would disconnect randomly. I later found out that it actually wasn't random, they disconnected when it vibrated. After
turning off controller rumble this issue went away. However, this also occurred whit my friend's controller when connected (the controller apparently worked fine on his console). This strengthens my suspicion that it is a problem with the console. Also,
would the controllers be able to sync if I were to connect them to the console via USB? If so, could they remain synced after unplugging them (so that I could sync all three controllers one at a time and not need three cables)?

 

I had this issue at launch my way of fixing it was powering down the console and then turning using the controller to turn it on.seemed to work for me after abit of time :/

 

I had a similar problem being on the preview/beta programme. It has been cleared up in the final release that came out in the last few days.

So if you are on the preview problem, id say its probably sorted itself by now.

Otherwise make sure you keep them updated and in sight of the Kinect.

In particular I strongly recommend updating both controllers just to make sure they have the latest firmware, and make sure you do it properly (USB in, battery out) as they can mess up a little if the instructions aren't followed.

My controllers are updated. Last night I was playing Titanfall and my controller died. I quickly changed batteries and the controller would not sync. Took over three minutes of it being plugged into the Xbox One for it to finally sync with the console. Total
crap!
