    Controllers constantly disconnecting since Preview Update


    Hi everyone,

    since the Preview Update (about ~2GB) my controllers both disconnect constantly 5-10 times per day/game session.

    In my opinion my day one controller disconnect less than the normal first gen controller. But its only a speculation.

    Tried another two controllers of a friend, got the same problem.

    Both controllers have the newest firmware and the X1 the newest Preview Update.

    Also using a Turtlebeach XO7, while im playing wireless i can hear how often the controller missing the connection.

    Tried many ways - connect via USB (everything fine), play near the X1, clear cache, new sync, with and without kinect but always the same.

    Have somebody this problem too?

    Problem is since 12.08, buyed/played LEGO Jurassic World and the Preview Update.

    Constant Controller disconnects!!!!

    got the same issue after the last Dashboard preview update, both Controllers are disconnecting now and playing wire with ugly noises is just unacceptable

    Day One Controller Faulty?

    Oh ***, getting beyond fed up of this. Is anyone else in the Preview Program? Since update yesterday my standard controller has been having a random disconnection issue - exactly same issue as Day One pad.

    It's really annoying. I had this issue since launch with my Day One controller, it happened a couple of times a week. I have for 5 mths or so been using a standard controller without any issues, until Tuesday after preview update.

    Am I alone in this?

    Coming up to end of warranty now, had console replaced by MS and sent them the replacement back. It had same issue and even more.

    I was just planning to try get my Day One pad replaced, but now the standard controller is acting up.

    Rather cheesed off.

    Sorry to hear it. However, as you seem to be in the preview program you should post this to the preview forums.

    Also be sure to leave feedback on the about this on the console by holding the Guide button until the option comes up.

    I have the same problem. Since the preview update (about 2GB) my controlers disconnect very often. Both controllers are up-to-date. It's very annoying, with a USB cable everything works.

    Tried already controllers of a friend, but they also disconnect (about 5-10 times a day/game session).

    Should i call Microsoft or is the preview update faulty?

    I have the Day One Edition and the first-gen controllers.

    I'm going to assume you did the controller firmware update when the latest release pushed to your console? If you didn't give it a shot and see if it helps. There is also an update in the April preview to address two issues with the previous controller
    firmware:

    *NEW CONTROLLER FIRMWARE UPDATE*

    Update to help address controller disconnect issues.

    Update to help address headset adapter audio quality.

    That is from the release notes in the forums and since applying the update to my controller, I haven't had any issues with this since. So if you have the latest firmware applied hang in there, and when the April preview goes GA, try updating it and see
    if it resolves the issue at that point :).

    I have same problem, since the series S update 2 days ago. The controllers constantly disconnect (yes everything is up to date, tried restarting console, pairing, even tried Xbox 1 controller, same problem, so must be the update)

    When raising a return, it insists on a new address, then it crashes, saying something is wrong. I'm in the UK.
