    Controllers connecting but not responding on Xbox1


    Hello - I'm hoping someone can help advise as I'm running out of options.

    I have an Xbox1 and the controllers are connecting to the console but they then simply stop responding after a short amount of time.

    I've so far tried the following:

    changed wifi channel

    connecting via ethernet

    changed battery in controller

    updated firmware on console and controllers to latest version

    hard-wire controller to console

    factory re-set on console

    We've tried all of the above on both controllers but it's still not working. If anyone has any other ideas that would be fantastic!

    You would of got more peeps to respond to this thread if u made it over in the xbox1 forums?

    And I think the xbox1 is going to be a amazing gaming machine over time, just like the 360 was.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    I apologize but if this is happening with multiple consoles this may mean that the issue is with the controller itself and you may have performed all the necessary steps.

    One last test, do you have a different controller that you can try to use?

    Xbox wont turn on my tv

    I have a BUSH 42/333ART3D TV. I have Sky+HD connected to the TV, all controlled by my Xbox1. However the Xbox1 can't turn my TV. Volume up, down, mute & unmute all work OK. Toggle is set under Device power options. I brought the Xbox1 on the premise that
    it would control my TV. Otherwise I would have got a PS4. Firmware is up to date for my TV. Kinect works OK. I can see the flashing lights with my phone. What more can I do. Xbox1 needs a patch for this. Also the OneGuide set up takes a long time to get my
    TV to mute, 17 times to send the mute command to the Xbox1. Sometimes it works, getting me down. Please post a fix

    Hello!

    I'm a Independent Advisor. I will be glad to help you.

    Connect the controller to a PC via USB cable and verify that it is up to date in the "Xbox Accessories" app. Once you verify that it is up to date try to perform a cache clear with the following steps.

    1. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

    2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox.

    3. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

    4. Press the Power button on your Xbox to turn it back on.

    5. Your cache should be clear at this point.

    Try to link both devices again by pressing the pairing buttons of both devices at the same time.
