Controllers connected but not working

Both controllers are powered, one by fresh batteries, the other by the plug and play setup

Both are connected to the xbox

Neither one work, and the one connected to the xbox via usb won't update either, even when using kinect to actvate the update while it is plugged in

Tried replacing batteries, switching the pnp pack, and turning on and off

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Try updating controller again and then do hard reset or vice versa

I have turned off my controllers, turned off my console, turned the console on then turned my controllers on. Both controllers are connected and on but I can do anything with them. It doesn't matter what button I press, nothing happens.

I can navigate the menu's with the Kinect voice control, so the Xbox One isn't crashing or anything. Any idea as to what I can do?

 

When you say they are connected the button on the controller is lit

 

I assume it is lit so try this mate

There is a small button on front of controller press and hold until light flashes release button

Now press button again the light should stay on showing it as been reconnected hope this helps

 

tried but controller still does not work. How do I get a new controller?
