Controllers are suddenly disconnecting themselves and Xbox is switching itself on.

Hey. I bought a usb cable and updated both controllers, but it's still not working.

Now it seems that the controllers are connecting and disconnecting by themselves, with the wireless receiver also turning on and off.

In Xbox Acessories no controller is showing up at any time while the controllers do this.

Control was disconnecting for no reason. Now the Xbox itself connects to live, seconds later it disconnects, then moments later again connects and continues to do this with no imput to the system. Cannot do anything at this point because the malfunctions.
It started with the controller disconnecting. Does anyone have any success stories of these problems being fixed?

If you disconnect your controller, does she stop moving? It may have issues with the controller itself.

This does seem to be a thing.

After experimenting around, it seems to be related (in my case) to when I unplug my headphones from the controller and plug them into some other device like my switch.

Play around on switch etc, plug it back into Xbox controller again.. that’s when the trouble seems to start.

Especially if the Xbox was turned off at the time, sometimes I can’t even start the Xbox back up using that controller after plugging headphone back in controller.

Disconnecting the wire from the controller itself doesn’t make the difference, unplugging the entire cable from the USB port and plugging that back in, does make the difference.

Very very weird and i can reproduce it to an extent.

Generally speaking, Xbox consoles and controllers have special connection protocols, which are rarely interfered by other signals. I suggest you try to use a wired connection to see if the wired connection can maintain the connection without interruption, which can help us confirm whether it is a controller/signal problem.



In addition, connect your controller to other devices, such as mobile phones/computers, to see if different situations occur (note that the more electronic devices there are, the stronger the interference may be)



Finally, please tell us what happens when your controller disconnects? Does the controller suddenly shut down and restart, or is it just the game disconnected? (The vibration of the Xbox controller itself will prompt you)
