Controllers 3.5 mm jack not working correctly

I have a Ocean Shadow special Edition Xbox One Wireless Controller. It works just fine but whenever I try to use the controller with my headset I have to press down on the cable going into the controller in order for people to be able to hear me. I can
hear others no matter what but to talk I have to push down on the aux plug. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this as I may not be in warranty anymore. Please help!!

Elite controller adapter issues

I thought the Elite controllers had the 3.5 mm jack instead of the adapter jack. I guess not .

Glad you got it solved. I did want to mention that the newer controllers have a 3.5 mm jack built in so there is no need for an adapter.

Is there ANY thing I would be able to try? The headset works just fine on my 3 other controllers. Im at the end of my rope over here I know I no longer have any warranty on my console or the controller

 

Thanks for your response, unfortunately there is no other steps we could recommend for a broken 3.5mm jack, it's not recommended to open and attempt to repair a controller or anything along those lines.
