Controller x2 don't work on account

Hi. Yes he has two gamer tags. But the one he wants to use is the one with the xbox live on. But this account is the one which the controllers don't work on. Im sure they don't need an update as they both work fine on his other account and on his brothers
xbox.

Looks like your son has two accounts.

Easy way to check this is if there are two different Gamertags?

Maybe ditch one and use other as main?

Or keep both accounts.

If you are having issues with your controller first thing to do is make sure they are updated.

To do this go to:

Plug in controller with micro USB cable to xbox. (doesn't need to be plugged into xbox, but makes it easier)

Xbox Settings

Devices & streaming

Accessories (accessories app will open)

Click on the 3 dots ...

Assigned to and select "your sons account".

This controller signs in "your sons account".

Firmware version

Continue

Controller should update

x2.............. great console. Features work properly. Love the new controller! Overall a huge leap over the 360 (which is sitting in the basement with Ghosts still in the disc drive).

1. Headset adapter (x2 if you buy a second controller)

2. second controller (titanfall one is better build quality imo)

3. play and charge kit (maybe x2 if you have the second controller)

4. External SSHD if you plan on buying lots of games - not needed right away.
