Controller wont turn on

So basically last week my controller decided it didn't want to turn on at all. When I press the power button it just lights up instantly and turns off when I let go. I've tried changing batteries and using a usb but it just does the same thing. Also the
sync button wont work either so that doesn't help. Any ideas on how to fix it pls??

Try different batteries. Perhaps it is the rechargables that you are using.

My controller died while playing a game so i went to switch the batteries(brand new rechargeable) and my controller wouldn't turn on. The batteries were fully charged and worked on everything else but the controller. Is there anyway to fix it as it is my
only controller and i cannot purchase a new one anytime soon?

 

I'm having the same problem it flashes twice then dies, when I put batteries in it just heats up in the middle and still doesn't work, any help?

and as for the xbox one online service center that's a joke

 

there is a sync button at the side of the xbox one which you starting pressing a few times after switching on. Have the controller plugged in via USB. it worked for me. Nowhere has anyone from Microsoft suggested this but instead tell you to buy a new one!
