    Controller won't turn on after falling from the desk


    Hello, my controller fell from my desk and it doesn't want to turn on anymore.

    Anyone know how i can fix this?

    Hi DawidB9, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Verify that your controller batteries aren’t causing this issue. If your controller won’t power on at all, replace the controller batteries with fresh ones and make sure they’re inserted correctly into the controller.

    If that didn't work, You can use a USB to micro-USB cable to connect your controller to your Xbox/PC. Plug the micro-USB end into the top of the controller, and the USB end into the USB slot on the side or back of the console. The cable will provide both power and a wired connection to the controller.

    Or triggers... if you're a trigger happy gamer. One of my older controllers makes a bit of a noise when pulling in the right trigger and the LB is a bit unresponsive, but I think that was because of a few drops out of my hands or falls off the desk.

    After I've dropped my controller several times (mostly by walking away from my desk with my headphones still on) you may need to get a new one if the mic port isn't working. For any errors in xbox settings i would power cycle the console by holding the
    power button for ten seconds, waiting a minute then turning it back on.

    Have you found any solutions to this?? I had the exact same issue. After attempting an update, it failed half way, and froze the system. Now it will not power up at all, and doesnt register on my PC as even being an xbox controller. Tech support was absolutely
    useless, and said it just needs replaced. But I was literally playing on it this morning with no issues until I decided to update the damn thing.

    And my GF just put a new skin on it for my birthday literally last week :-(
