    Controller won't sync wirelessly ...


    Just got the Xboxone this past Black Friday and having major issues with the controller syncing wirelessly. even went to msft store and exchanged controller and same problem. Bought a new conttoller at wal Mart and same problem. Will not sync! Really
    frustrating. Can use with sub cable, but when you try to sync by pushing the button on console and on controller they won't do it. The controllera do the fast flash, but won't connect!!??!! using fresh batteries and sitting right in front of console. Wireless
    routers in diff rooms all together. Is my console bad?

    Bricked controller

    So my Xbox one controller was not syncing wirelessly and so when I plugged it in via usb, it prompted me to do an update. I started the firmware update for the controller but it failed at 46%. Now my controller is completely bricked. It just keeps flashing
    but doesn't connect in any way. I have tried everything but it just won't sync.

    Trouble syncing second controller

    I am having a difficult time getting the second controller to sync using the normal method..........light on controller just continues to blink. Controller will work if hard wired but not work wirelessly/synced.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for trying. Could you plug in your controller using a USB cable to your console? Once connected, press the sync button on your controller for 3 seconds. It should unpair your controller wirelessly.

    Have to unplug my xbox EVERY time now.

    Did you bring it back for refund? Seems like a huge hassle for what is probably a software/firmware issue. But I guess it could remain unfixed, who knows. I'm trying to figure out if it the controller firmware now, we'll see...

    I bought directly from Microsoft (online, Black Friday 2015) and have the same issue: After console sleeps, controller will not connect/sync wirelessly at all, so it won't turn on Xbox, or sync via dedicated sync buttons, or anything. Happens every time
    with "instant on" enabled. Never happens with "power savings" (full shutdown) enabled.

    Hi DJH2

    Are you using the controller wired or wirelessly?

    If you are using it wirelessly, try re-syncing the controller with the console and see how it goes.

    Also try it wired and see if it still does the same.

    Please let us know how it goes?

    Oh, you mean to say that all controllers do not connect with the console? If that is the case, this could already be a hardware problem with the Xbox since none of the controllers are syncing wirelessly. You would need to have this repaired already for this issue.

    This is a great reply! If that doesn't work, try connecting the controller using a USB cable, and updating the controller (if necessary).

    If it still won't connect wirelessly, you can also try reconnecting the controller like this:

    Press and hold the connect button on the top of the controller (between the bumpers to the left) until the Xbox button flashes.
