    Controller Won't Stop Disconnecting When Adaptor Is Being Used!


    Ever since a while back for the update for the controllers. My playing experience has been duled framstically due to this controller error. I'm not sure what Microsoft did iver there but this crap won't let me play online without a spasm of disconnects whenever
    my headset is plugged in. I bought a new controller and a new adaptor and still have the same issue. When will the next update come out to fix this??

    Headphones causing pads to disconnect

    No issues my end and have had 3 controllers and headphones plugged in via adaptor and 3.5 jack.

    Never had a disconnection though, only when batteries were low.

    Hello,

    There isn't a specific adaptor for the Series X/S controllers for PC. The current adaptor works just fine with these newer controllers, however it is now in very short supply. There are third party ones available that do the same thing.

    The Xbox 360 wireless controllers use a different WIFI protocol, they need their own Xbox 360 wireless Gaming Receiver.

    Xbox One and Series X/S controllers can be connected to PC via Bluetooth, but headsets will only work with the Xbox One adaptor (or a third party version), they won't work when the controller is connected via BT

    The current headset you use for music will work just fine with the Xbox One headset adaptor. You'll be able to hear game volume through it as well as using the adaptor controls to adjust the volume levels. If you are ever interested in chat volume in the
    future, you can bump that up using the controls on the adaptor - but as you know, you won't be able to talk to others with the headset you currently have.

    If you remove the batteries from a controller and connect it to the console via USB, does the same thing still happen?

    One cause of controllers disconnecting when being used wirelessly is a faulty Wi-Fi card, as that also handles controller connections, but if it's happening with controllers connected via a USB cable as well, it won't be that.

    Im not getting kicked from servers so could possibly be your wireless. I stopped using wireless a couple of years ago when i realised its the main cause of lag and disconnections i was getting on some 360 games. Some games seem to handle latency and jitter
    caused by wireless better than others.

    I now use powerline adaptors.

    Powerline adaptors are well worth getting even if you are not having problems.

    The controller update has to do with the wireless chat audio adaptor and the controller itself. Fixes certain issues like disconnects or controller freezing as well as static sounds heard in the headset when using Dolby Surround setting selected under Bitframe
    for audio.

    I'm going to check it again tonight since it appears I got the update, but no indication.
