    Controller won't respond and game stops


    Just borrowed ff lightning returns from a rental place and played it for a week, including earlier today. Now I can select continue game but when it asks to choose which safe it doesn't respond. Only the Xbox home button will still respond and I can move
    in that menu. Is this the game or my system. Also when topping on the Xbox via the controller I have to tap the button to move the selector whereas before I could just hold it and it would move. This is causing me to think system error? All other games work
    no problem

    The Xbox forums does not cover support with Playstation hardware.

    Okay just switch controllers on of chance and everything is working. The other controller is one that charges via usb to Xbox. Could it have a virus or was it possibly just damaged from being dropped or such?

    I have not updated the firmware on my controller, but when it stops responding in Titanfall I've found that using the Kinect Go Home command makes the controller respond again, without the need to turn off the controller or close the game.

    So, from the way you described the problem, I believe the problem is really with the controller's hardware.

    Have you tried to update the controller's firmware to see if it works?

    If you did, is your controller under warranty still?

    I see, it's not, indeed. But Microsoft offers repair services for the Elite 2 controllers. But you have the option to take it to a repair store also, for them to analyze your controller, it might be a hardware issue indeed. :/

    Hi, When I check controller updates, it says it's up to date. And I don't think it's still in warrenty, its 4+ years old.
