Controller won't reconnect

Hi all and thanks for reading. The problem I have is, if I leave my controller unattended and it turns off, when I get back and turn it on again, it blinks like normally and then I get a solid white light. Now the problem is what the hell is it connecting
too because I can't do anything on my Xbox, it doesn't move anything. I have turned it on and off, taken battery's out, plugged in play and charge and nothing. I can still use voice command so I know the Xbox hasn't crashed. I have tried a different controller
still no luck. If I turn my Xbox off and then try turning it back on with the controller, the Xbox doesn't even turn on. it does the same as before, it's like the controller thinks it's connected to the Xbox but it's not :s. The only fix is to unplug Xbox
for 10 seconds. My mate is having the same problem as me. I think its got something to do with Forza Horizon 2, me and my mate had problem when this game is running. Thanks for reading.

so I got the Xbox one controller with the oculus rift and whenever the controller turns off after being inactive for some time, when I try to reconnect it to the computer, it connects for a second and then disconnects, and I have to close the oculus program
or sometimes restart the computer for it to reconnect, I've read on other forums that it needs an update but it says it's up to date.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Another forum had said its a hardware issue and needs to be replaced.

This happens to me as well, but usually when I accidentally disconnect the headset. If I try to plug it back in, I can't talk/hear anything though the headset until I restart my Xbox. I've noticed that this ONLY happens on my Halo 3 controller, and not my
11 others, so it's a controller problem and has nothing to do with the console or the headset.

Not sure how much that helps.

Has this been sorted? It's really starting to bug me now. I have to keep doing a power cycle in the middle of a game.

Are you still having issues with Forza Horizon 2 controller disconnects? If the controller is disconnecting randomly in any game, I would suggest following
