Controller won’t connect!gg

Hello, I’m having trouble with my xbox one controller. It doesn’t want to connect at all. I try buying new batteries and nothing. I tried using a usb still doesn’t work. I tried all the methods xbox listed but it still didn’t connect. Sometimes
the controller blinks for a long time and when its done blinking you cant turn the controller light back on till a couple of minutes.

Controller won’t connect

Recently my Xbox one controller has been failing to connect to my Xbox one. I have tried a wireless connection but the controller will flash permanently and then it won’t connect. I have also tried a wired connection but the controller still flashes permanently.
This isn’t only a recent occurrence. I have tried turning the xbox off by holding down the button so it restarts, this made no change whatsoever in what the controller would do. I have turned off all other electronic devices In the area but nothin has changed.
There are no metal devices near the Xbox so they cannot preventing it from connecting. What do i need to do to connect my controller?

 

Xbox One on but won’t do anything

My Xbox One will power on, with the white power light on, but it won’t do anything. The tv doesn’t detect an input source. I’ve checked the tv and the hdmi cable, and they both work. Also, the controller won’t connect to the Xbox. I can turn the Xbox on
with the controller, but the controller won’t connect and flashes the middle button light. The Xbox will eject and take cds, and I can hear the cd rom spinning when I put a disc in, but the Xbox won’t do anything else, and the controller still won’t connect. I
also can’t turn the Xbox off, unless I hold the power button for 5 seconds. When I press the the button, the sound plays for the Xbox’s turning off, but it stays on.

Xbox One Controller.

If the previous solutions didn't get your controller connected to the console,

your controller needs to be replaced.

Paul here from Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue at hand. To help get the controller to sync to the Xbox I believe doing a "Power Cycle" will help fix the problem. Here is a

Hello Dainty sorry for the frustration but I going out on a limb here how is your console plugged in? example wall, power strip etc.

If all others than the wall please try plugging into wall then try. Also how old is the controller and is it an official xbox controller? If this doesn't help or anything you set up a call to get help https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us.

The Xbox One is connected to the wall. And the controller is 2 and a half years old and i started having this problem like 6 months ago.

If all the steps were performed through the Troubleshoot your Xbox One Wireless Controller
page, then please contact support through our
Contact Us page.

Also, if the controller works on another console, then it would be the console that needs a repair. If other controllers work on the console being used currently, then the controller is the one that needs a repair.
