Controller will not turn on AT ALL

I recently attempted to update my controller and something odd happened.

The black screen that displays the percentage of the download showed up but it never changed off 0%. It sat at 0% for approximately 3 or 4 seconds and then the controller turned off and the system said that there was an issue with the update and to retry.

I checked my connections and retried. When I tried to turn the controller on to click start update, it would not turn on. I tried unplugging it and put new batteries in, but nothing happened. When I push on the guide button to turn it on, the light will
dimly flicker while it is pushed in, but it will not fully power on.

I then tried again with another controller and the same thing happened (probably not the best idea i have ever had). so now i have two controllers that will not power on at all. Is there a potential fix to this, or do i need to send them off to Microsoft
for replacement?

Controller won’t turn on at all

I was playing on my Xbox yesterday and my controller randomly turnt off it wasn’t hot or anything I’ve tried changing the batteries to new ones and that didn’t work either so I’ve come back from work and tried it again still doesn’t work. I’ve tried connecting
the controller via a usb lead from my xbox just a phone charger one that fits it and the middle x button glows and stays on but doesn’t let me use the controller HELP ME PLEASE!

Hey Tempz I,

Sorry to hear about the controller not turning on. When you plugged the controller in with the micro USB cable were the batteries removed as well. Can you give that a go and leave it plugged in for a bit and check if the controller responds at all?

If you take the batteries out and connect the controller to console via USB, do they connect properly?

Now connect a headset and try the update again.

 

Sadly this didn't work. I think i might just have to send it in for a replacement unfortunately.
