Controller will not sync

    Controller will not sync


    I just bought a used xbox 360 so I could play Rock band. The main controller synced up with no problem, but the instruments didn't sync well. One guitar wouldn't have the lights on the guide button light up and the other guitar was not registering strums
    very well. I played the rest of the game using vocals. When I beat the game and had to press Y to continue, non of the buttons on the controller worked.

    I shut down the xbox and tried restarting the game, but the controller would have the four lights moving in a circle. I replaced the batteries and even bought a new controller to try that, but it didn't work. I can't get to the menu to disconnect the controllers
    because I can't make any selections.

    I'm having the same problem. My xbox one is about a month old. Worked great yesterday at 2200. Then, I came back to check on titanfall's status three hours later (0100). Now my 2 controllers don't work at all. Neither of them will sync anymore. USB->micro
    USB doesn't help either. Fresh batteries. Could the 16.3 GB download for Titanfall mess the xbox one up so it can't read the controllers?

    Sync the Controller:
    To sync a wireless controller with your Xbox, follow these steps:

    Press the Xbox button on the controller to turn it on.
    Press and hold the small sync button on the front of the Xbox Series X console (located near the USB port).
    While holding the sync button on the console, press and hold the sync button on the controller (located on the top near the Xbox button).
    Release both sync buttons when the controller's Xbox button starts flashing. The controller should now be synced with the console.

    You have to sync your second controller, via the Xbox One's sync button on the left, and the controller's sync button on the top.

    Hi, you are pressing the sync button on the console and then the sync button on the controller? What happens when you try to sync the controller?

    Try re-syncing the controller to see if that helps.

    Press the sync button on the front of the controller and the sync button on the console to see if it will reconnect.

    Controller Problems

    Have you tried syncing the controller to the console? Hold the sync button on the front of the controller and the sync button on the console (on the left side just before the usb) until the light on the controller syncs.

    If that doesn't work then try heading over to Settings>System and update the controller to see if that helps.
