Controller will connect to another xbox 360 but not my own.

Its not the batteries, it connected fine to my boyfriends xbox 360, but his controller wont connect either. Can anyone explain what the issue is because it is obviously the console.

Wireless controller does not connect to xbox 360 but wireless midia controller does

My wireless controller does not connect to xbox 360. I bought another and the 2nd wireless controller does not connect either. After attempting to connect all 4 green lights around the controller guide button flash and replacing the batteries did not help
either controller, all 4 green lights around the XBOX on/off button flash a bit but turn off after few seconds. I also have an xbox media controller that works with this xbox, all buttons on media controller function.

 

Controller And Headset

I turn on my console, connect to xbox live, and create my own party, according to my xbox my controller is connected to a headset, which it is not. I try to connect my wireless headset to my controller but it is another failure, it only connects to the
second slot and when i try synching it to the first slot it only connects if my controller is turned off, when i turn my controller on my headset disconnects. Examples im in my xbox live party i have my headset on and my controller on, i cant communicate with
my friends in the party, i press the synch button on my controller and it disconnects it, then i can communicate with my xbox live party, it does not make any sense, please help because I am about to throw my xbox out the window.

 

I noted the same thing with mine. The solution for me was the HDMI connector was not plugged into the TV. As soon as I plugged it in OK, the controllers connected fine.

Another solution that others have indicated is to disconnect the power cable from the unit, then press the power button several times, then reconnect and try again.
