Controller & wifi disconnects simultaneously

Discus and support Controller & wifi disconnects simultaneously in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Controller & Wfi disconnect every 1-5 mins, & stays disconnected for 1-7 mins before reconnecting.     Controller & wifi disconnects simultaneously


    Controller & Wfi disconnect every 1-5 mins, & stays disconnected for 1-7 mins before reconnecting. I can't even play games it happens so frequently.... I've contacted Microsoft & they've gave me various troubleshoot ideas, but none actually fix the issue
    (including factory reset, MAC reset, plug direct to wall, open NAT etc.) Anyone know a potential fix??? I'm thining its a hardware issue & might send it in, but I'd like to exhaust ALL possibilities before doing so. My console is no longer warrantied & will
    cost around $125 for repair.

    PS: have also tried updating controller & wired connection isn't an option

    You are definitely not alone, it has to be a console issue as all my controller disconnect simultaneously.

    New Microsoft Controller

    the new S controller be on sale individually with the improved wireless distance , hopefully is a fix for the old disconnects im still getting, but unlikely if its a faulty wifi board in the console itself Controller & wifi disconnects simultaneously :mad:

    Same problem for me. Controllers keep disconnecting. It happens if other people use wifi for game or netflix. Wifi interferes with the controllers connection. Very bad. Next time a PlayStation!

    I'd assume your console is connected wirelessly to your WiFi. Since you say the network as well as the controller are disconnecting, I'd guesstimate, that you have a device that also uses the 2.4GHz frequency like the controllers and the WiFi, that interferes
    with your WiFi and wireless controller connection.

    It might be a badly shielded microwave oven, or a wireless baby monitor, or a garage door opener remote or one of those remotely switchable power outlets that might cause interference that causes your controller and WiFi to get disconnected.

    Hello JackoSmaName!

    If this happens consistently, then I would say the best thing for you to try is trying a soft reset.

    It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

    Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
    will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

    Also make sure that you select the option denoted reset and
    keep my games and apps.
