    Controller warranty

I've had an xbox elite controller now for just over a year (out of initial 1yr warranty) and within that time it has been sent off for repair twice.

Now it needs to be repaired a 3rd time and I have been told that it's out of warranty... I was hoping that because it only come back from them 2months ago it would still be replacable or under EU Directive 1999/44/EC it would still have 10months left.

Had xbox, 360 and One and in that time I've never had any controller break except this one, three times!

Anyone had a simular situation or advice on how I can take this further as the fella on the phone refused to look into it any further.

    Thanks in advance

    :)

    Controller warranty

Depends how long you've had it as may be out of warranty already as you only get 3 months warranty with controllers

Yes as long as it's within a year you can submit a repair and have it sent to get fixed. Make sure your console is registered on your account though. You can this by logging into xbox.com, clicking on my account and selecting manage devices. You can also
submit a repair on that page too.

I know the route in which to take to get it serviced, like said I've had to do it twice in last 8 months.

That's not my problem, my problem is they are saying it's out of year warranty... True, but it broke twice within that year and I believe should still be covered by that EU Directive as I live in the UK and brexit hasn't happened just yet haha

I'm sure Microsoft adhere to all local laws regarding warranties and I expect this will also be the case in the UK.

You have to distinguish between the manufactures warranty and the Consumer Sales Act for your specific country/region, which in your case (which I assume) falls under the EU directive of "Sales and guarantees". After the manufactures warranty has expired
(which in most cases, with electrical products, typically fall within a year), you need to further adress your situation, with the receipt, to the store from where you made your purchase from.

buttons xbox controller not working properly

    Hello SabRednopal,

Standard warranty for Xbox accessories is 90 days, or 3 months. Unfortunately, it seems like you are outside of warranty. you can however, check your controllers serial number here : Controller
    Warranty

If you are out of warranty, we can only recommend replacing the controller.
