    Controller Volume control


    Becuase of an injury I have to use earbuds and connect them into my xbox controller. The bad part was the only way to adjust it was in steps instead of a volume slide, went from silent to kinda loud to loud with no in between. Now i cant find the volumne
    adjustment for the control with this new update anywhere. Can you guys please add a control for volume back and update how it works? Maybe even have an auto audio level adjustment. One game will be silent than ill go to netflix and it’ll blast
    my ears of with its intro. Can you guys fix this or do I gata switch to a PS5 this winter? lol

    XB1 Stereo Adapter Volume Control

    I use turtle beach headphones with the adapter. What I do is turn chat volume up with adapter, then I use the volume control on the cable connecting headset to controller to control chat volume while controlling game volume with volume control on the headset.

    On the adapter on the left theres a person that controls chat volume and then the right a controller that controls game volume.

    I have a pair of x42s, if the volume controls are the same, it is tricky. The volume control on the cord doesn't do anything. I had to do a combination of the master control volume on the adapter(the 2 buttons on the right) and the volume control located
    by the power button on the headset. I still haven't found my perfect chat/volume set up though.

    Streaming to computer: controller and headset issues

    Ok, so I figured out that to get game audio/chat to work while streaming, we had to hook the controller up to the computer we are streaming to via USB. The headset stayed plugged into the controller. Yay! Game audio AND chat!

    NEXT PROBLEM: there seems to be no way to control game volume/chat volume while streaming. We have mute chat at the top, but that is all. The computer volume controls do not affect the stream, and the volume controls on the controller adapter also seem to
    do nothing.

    How do you control game/chat volume while streaming?

    Headset Adapter Support (Live Chat)

    On any headset that has its own volume controller, you should set that controller to max volume. Then use the adapters controls to set your chat, and game audio volume to more suitable levels.

    Adjusting both controls can lead to odd audio problems as StainableDog describes.
