Controller vibration on Fortnite

Since the new update on Fortnite that brought us Season X, when I play Team Rumble my Xbox controller will sometimes constantly vibrate and stop when I get killed again.

I would turn vibration off but I like to have it on for when I’m building and shooting.

The constant vibrating only happens on Fortnite.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Is there a way to fix it?

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

If that doesn't work try uninstalling/reinstalling the game.

I can understand your controller not working and believing it has a vibration caused malfunction. One of my controllers was vibrating after I got eliminated in fortnite one time, and never stopped vibrating after that. Even if I plug it in now after about
six months of no use, it will still rumble uncontrollably. I have found that proper controller maintenance, care, and cleaning is essential to a long-lasting controller life. May I ask you, is it a corded or wireless controller? If it is a corded one, I would
suggest changing the cord leading up to it. If it is a wireless controller, I suggest unpairing it, then pair it back to the Xbox.

Change controller vibration on Xbox One
Press the Xbox button to open the Panel, then select System > Settings.
Select Accessibility > Controller, then select Vibration Settings.
Choose the controller you want to edit and select Configure.
For an Elite Xbox controller, select the configuration profile you want to edit. Then Select Edit > Vibrate and move scrollable sliders to adjust vibration settings.
For the Xbox Wireless controller, select Enable Vibration to turn controller vibration on or off.

If controller vibrations are distracting or make it hard to use your controller, you can adjust their intensity or turn them off completely.

To change vibration, download the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store. Then, plug in your controller, open the app, and select
Configure.

For an Xbox Elite Controller, select the configuration profile you want to change. Then select
Edit > Vibration and move the sliders to adjust vibration settings.
For the Xbox Wireless Controller, select Turn on vibration to turn controller vibration on or off.
