Controller Vibration - can I turn it off?

I seriously dislike any sort of vibration/feedback system when I play games. It was an interesting novelty in Star Fox 64, but I'd rather just turn it off. This includes the triggers too, I really hate it that I can't turn those off. Lately I have gotten
into the habit of just disassembling my controller and removing the motors, but I seriously shouldn't have to do that. Please give us options to UNIVERSALLY disable controller and trigger vibrations.

I highly doubt that Microsoft is going to implement a MASTER OFF option for the controller vibrations in the console settings because if it this issue was really important to Microsoft, it would have already been done due to the fact that the Xbox One has
almost been out for 2 years now.

Lei, with due respect, I wouldn't make the assumption that MS would not implement an OS-wide option to turn off vibration. Many of the improvements that have been implemented in the console OS through the monthly updates have come directly from the suggestions
and votes made at uservoice.com.

Right now, there are less than 500 votes for the feature, so every vote counts in the effort to draw attention to the demand for this feature. So for all who want to see a vibration toggle, tell them with your vote! They just need to know that it is something
that customers want.

I like the vibration feedback, but I voted for the ability to turn off vibration. If individual games can have a vibration toggle, there is no reason that it can't be done OS-wide. Plus, I imagine for any gamer who has any sort of hand neuropathy, the
vibration could be downright painful.

It isn't my intention to be mean / rude, but to me it feels that Microsoft just took a " standard " option that was in the Xbox 360 and was hoping that nobody would notice that it was gone.

I've looked everywhere for some way to shut it down and found nothing ! That's so ridiculous ! I HATE vibration ! It's gimmicky and it eats thru batteries like nothing flat ! Get real Xbox ! Just how much money can you morally keep squeezing out of the consumer
?? The one dashboard is terrible as well ! Not user friendly at all ! Go back to simple. But the vibration issue is really annoying ! I wish you guys would at least fix that ! Not all gamers are pre-teens that get a kick out of that kind of novelty.

 

Please give us something MS!!!!!!! This is a battery killer!!!!! NO Options to turn off in NSP Rivals either and every thing makes the controller constantly vibrate. I've seen many posts regarding customers with CT and Arthritis that experience real pain
from this issue that could simply be fixed if you would just address the issue you have been ignoring since it was first posted at the end of 2013. Seriously, this is unacceptable. I have never complained about anything regarding MS Xbox over any forum but
this is a cheap and easy fix. So please just fix it already. Thank you.

 

It's in: settings >>devices and accessories>>press the buzz option once, and that should turn it off. Worked for me atleast. Hope this helps

 

As far as I know, right now, on the X1 there is no global vibration toggle. You have to set it within each game, if they offer the toggle at all.

It's definitely something they should add in. I have no need for vibrations, and it kills the battery.

 

Speaking of killing the battery, have you tried rechargeable. I have at least 8 AA and 6AAA. 4 in my controller, 4 charging. The AAA 2 in my headphones, 2 in tv/cable remote, and 2 charging. Only when my wife moves the charger do I have go looking for regular
batteries.
