    Controller update/headset adapter


    Picked up the headset adapter. Updated the controller. It works fine but for there were multiple times where I I joined some friends in a party.....yet the mic only worked for in game chat....and not the party chat.

    Anyone experience this?

    How do we update the controller? NO USB Cable comes with Xbox One.

    About updating controller, To use the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter with your Xbox One Console, you’ll need to update your Xbox One Controller with the latest software to support the Adapter.

    This is from:
    support.xbox.com/.../update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter

    So Titanfall controller update is done by over air, no cable, (February update) and Stereo Headset Adapter controller update you need an cable, which comes with the adapter (March update).

    Hi there, just wondering if you can put a splitter cable into the controller adapter and plug in a separate microphone to your headset because the microphone which I have in my headset is not good enough.

    Hello there is anyone still experiencing disconnection of controllers after the last february2015 update on xbox one?

    It still happens for no reason in the middle of playing a game

    This only happens on xbox one

    They said they spent money and time developing this controller for xbox one and they have done a disgusting job

    I am seriosly considering selling my xbox one if they dont fix this issue

    I feel really gutted about this and would like if anyone has a fix to this

    Controller Update for Stereo Headset Adapter Fails

    It sounds like the controller update also updates the headset adapter as the instructions state plug in headset/adapter before updating . So if you have updated the controller with out the headset adapter plugged in its possible that the console will think
    the controller is updated but not recognize that the adapter isnt and then fail or say that the controller is upto date . The only way around this maybe to get a new controller or a controller that hasnt been updated and try the update again . Or try the
    headset adapter in a friends controller that has had the update done and see if it works

    "As of the April 2014 Xbox One System Update, the firmware update for the controller and stereo headset adapter has been updated and includes significant improvements to audio quality with the Stereo Headset Adapter and the process of updating controllers.
    If you have taken the update previously and are having issues with your stereo headset adapter, please update your controller again with the latest Controller Update. You can update your controller by going to Settings, System, and then Controller update."
